Beavers are the youngest members of the Group. Children can join the Colony from the age of 5, meetings are on Tuesday evenings from 5.00-6.15pm. The Colony takes boys and girls and the children work for a variety of badges, culminating in the top award, the Dam Builder. Recent outings have included visits to the local police and fire station, a visit to Mabie Farm with the Cubs and pond dipping and bug hunts always appear on the summer programme. The Beavers have a themed sleepover each July and attend a special Area day, for Beavers from across the north.
