The Scout section is open to young people between the ages of 11-15. The Troop meets on Thursday evenings between 7.30-9.15pm and Scouts have a varied programme which includes camping, firelighting, incident hikes, survival skills, mapwork and first aid. Badge work and training leads to the top award, The Scout Cord. The older Scouts follow the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which blends seamlessly into the Scout programme and continues when Scouts move up to the Senior section.
